Family Fun on the Fourth!

The fourth of July is a holiday that we look forward to every year. It has been a very long tradition for us to go to breakfast at Eldon and Margy's and watch the Centerville parade. (Just for the record this tradition started when I was in High School and actually participated in the parade.) We always have dutch oven breakfast (Yum!) Abbi however, had a plate of just bacon. The kids loved the parade, we ended up with three big bags of candy. We also had this great cloud cover most of the time so it wasn't as hot as usual.

After the parade we headed up to our house, or should I say foundation. We hadn't been there for about a week. Not a whole lot has happened, but since the last post about our house they have filled in the rest of the hole, and poured the basement and garage floors. There is actually wood on the property so it looks like they will start framing soon. Yeah!!!

We then headed to the Centerville park (continuing on with tradition) so the kids could play a couple games and yes try to win a frog. We have played the same game and brought home a frog from the park many times. This is Ellie being very tired and frustrated when Kaden tried to hold the frog.

Later that night we went to see fireworks. The kids played around until they started and our little social butterfly (Ellie), made friends with kids sitting by us and bummed sparklers and snaps off of them.

It was a very busy, fun day! Can't wait for next year!

It's so fun to see your pictures! You look beautiful in every one you are in! I can't imagine how excited you must be about your house too with it moving right along! Yahoo!!!

So glad we got to play with you at breakfast. If Ellie goes missing, don't look for her at our house, cuz my girls probably kidnapped her!
