Halloween Halloween Halloween!!!

We love Halloween around here. The kids spent all day Thursday and Friday in their costumes. This year Abbi was a Veterinarian, Kaden was Peter from Narnia, and Ellie was Cinderella. Abbi and Kaden had their Halloween parties at school and I helped in Kaden's class. We had a great time and Ellie now thinks she is ready for Kindergarten after participating in the activities.

That evening we had our pumpkin carving party. The kids did their Mr. Potato Head pumpkin pieces and then picked out a scene to be carved into their pumpkins. That's right jack-o-lantern faces have become a thing of the past for this family. This year the trickiest pumpkin was Abbi's wolf scene, but Nathan conquered the job! Notice the kids retreated to the couch for a Scooby Doo movie and daddy got to keep carving.

Friday the Halloween festivities continued. We went trick or treating to Grandma Richter's work and had lunch with her. It was lots of fun and a great start to their candy collection.

Then it was off to Grandma Morris' for trick-or-treating. The kids played with their cousins, ate, and of course showed off their costumes.

We then came home for more trick-or-treating. We took the kids around a block and a half and that just wasn't good enough. We then went to Sean and Jolie's where the kids finished off the night with their cousins.

Wow I'm exhausted just rethinking the day! It was lots of fun and of course the candy collection is something to speak of. I think half of it has already been eaten by Kaden. Bless his little teeth!
